Ronen Elefant, MD, MBA, MSEng is a double board-certified surgeon in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, specializing in Acute Care Surgery, including trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care.
As the founder of ACES National Surgical Team, Dr. Elefant is redefining how direct surgical care is delivered, prioritizing collaboration, patient safety, surgeon autonomy, and uncompromising standards of excellence.
He currently serves as Trauma Medical Director and Chief of Acute Care Surgery at a regional hospital in Pennsylvania, where he has led the institution in achieving and maintaining Level II trauma center accreditation and played a central role in its evolution into a tertiary referral center.
With advanced training in engineering and economics, and more than 25 years of aviation experience as a pilot, Dr. Elefant brings a rare, multidisciplinary perspective to healthcare. He approaches surgery as precision problem-solving combining a pilot’s discipline in risk management, an engineer’s foresight in system design, and an economist’s demand for transparency and efficiency.

Currently serving as Trauma Medical Director and Chief of Acute Care Surgery, Dr. Elefant combines advanced training in biomedical engineering and business with over 25 years in aviation, applying precision, risk management, and systems thinking to surgical care. Through ACES, he leads a national network of elite surgeons expanding access to transparent, high-quality surgery while restoring the surgeon–patient relationship.
Kevin Lowe, MD, PhD, FACS
Dr. Kevin M. Lowe, MD, PhD, FACS, is a board-certified cancer surgeon specializing in pancreatic, liver, bile duct, stomach, and esophageal cancers, with over a decade of experience in hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and foregut surgery. Fellowship-trained at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, he has held academic and clinical leadership roles at Indiana University Health and Carle Foundation Hospital and is a recognized educator and researcher in pancreatic cancer and surgical outcomes. A U.S. Army Reserve trauma surgeon and author of The Thoughtful Patient, Dr. Lowe brings precision, leadership, and patient-centered care to his work at ACES Surgical.
Daniel McMahon, MD, MBA, FACS
Dr. McMahon is a board-certified general surgeon with over 20 years of experience in academic, military, and clinical surgical practice. A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine, he completed his surgical residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and served 12 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy, including multiple overseas deployments and leadership roles in aerospace medicine, flight surgery, and operational support. In clinical practice, Dr. McMahon performs open, laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic surgery and brings advanced business and systems expertise as an Executive MBA graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and Founder of Delta Medical Consulting, LLC.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Analytics from a leading university in Pennsylvania and previously worked at a mid-sized consulting firm supporting cross-functional projects across healthcare and technology. At ACES, Brooke strengthens operational efficiency, stakeholder communication, and strategic execution, providing structured problem solving and analytical support that enhances day-to-day operations and leadership decision making.
